Video Marketplace Status

I just hung up on a conference call on this issue, and I wanted to post an update. As you know, we have been experiencing technical difficulties associated with the extremely high number of downloads from the Video Marketplace service over the past 24 hours. We understand these technical issues have resulted in a very unpleasant experience for our members, including extremely slow downloads or not receiving the content they purchased. ve made progress over the past hours, and the team is dedicated to fixing the issues and continues to work as fast as they can around the clock to get the service running as seamlessly as you have come to expect. We strongly encourage all folks who have experienced an error message or did not receive a download they purchased to call customer support at 1-800-4MYXBOX. I also want to mention that if you see the Points have been deducted from your account message when you are trying to download free content, we are NOT deducting points. Thanks for your patience, and please know that the team is prepared to make things right for those affected, including refunding Microsoft Points where appropriate and as quickly as possible.

Xboxin markkinointijohtaja Aaron Greenberg on vahvistanut, että Xbox Liven elokuvien ja TV-sarjojen Kauppapaikka on tulossa myös Eurooppaan.

Movie Pricing

The price of a movie depends on a few things. First, is this a new release or a library title? A new release movie like V For Vendetta cost 320 Microsoft Points or roughly $4 to rent. A Library title like Unforgiven cost 240 Microsoft Points or $3. Whether or not the version of the movie you select is standard definition or high definition also impacts pricing. Using the same two movies above as examples, the Standard definition version of V For Vendetta was 320 Microsoft Points. The high definition version of the movie is 480 points. The high definition of a library title like Unforgiven is 360 points. This translates into a 50% price increase for high definition titles versus standard definition.


TV Show Pricing

The price of a TV show depends only on whether or not it is an high-definition title, that's it. The price for a standard definition TV show is 160 Microsoft Points while the high-definition version is 240 Microsoft points. While most TV shows have multiple seasons available, you must buy the shows on a per episode basis (you cannot buy a complete season at once). Although it allows you greater freedom when selecting content and keeps you from paying for episodes you do not want, it would be nice to have the option to buy complete seasons the same as you would a single episode.

It should be noted that if you buy the HD version of any TV show, the standard definition of the same show is also available to you for free.

Microsoftin Xbox Live -johtaja Robin Burrows vakuuttaa, että Xbox 360:n Video Marketplace -palvelu aloittaa toimintansa Euroopassa vielä ennen joulua.

En ymmärrä miten sulla ei ole "sellaista korttia" eli siis Visa Electron käy myös ja eikös nykyään kaikilla ole Electron pakostikkin?

Sitten teitty asia on eri jos on osuuspankin asiakas jolla on ongelmia kaikenlaisen ulkomaankäytön suhteen vieläkin vissiin tai jos sinulla on PANKKIkortti eli sellainenjolla saa luottoakin hieman.

Sitten tietty käy myös Visa, Mastercard ja American Express.

Mutta siis tosiaan "alimmantason" korttihan on Visa Electron ja eiköhän sinulla sellainen juuri ole.
