2.3 Paladin: Retribution Threat Change (Source)
After further discussion and testing we’ve decided to add threat reduction deep in the paladin's retribution tree. Fanaticism will now reduce threat caused by all actions by 6/12/18/24/30%, in addition to its current effect.

The Precision change should be in the next iteration of the patch notes.

2.3 Shaman: Earth Shield will be changed sooner or later (Source)
We're certainly aware of the concerns, and beyond that feel that the earth shield is in need of some love. We're not sure this will happen in 2.3, and I'll do my best to keep you posted.
2.3 Shaman: Spirit Weapons (Source)
Q: Is the Spirit Weapon talent being changed to effect all our damage like the Ret change or will it still only apply to our white damage?
A: It never applied to only white damage. I personally had this tested extensively. It's going to be 30% damage reduction from white damage, plus stormstrike, plus windfury procs. 15% was simply too low, so the additional 15% should help quite a bit.
Q: Given the new mental quickness changes, our shocks will generate more threat due to higher damage. This damage is not covered in our Spirit Weapons threat reduction am i correct?
A: Though shock damage is not covered by this talent, you must keep in mind that your shock damage is both controlled and predictable. Windfury procs are neither -- pure burst. If you're threat limited you may need to limit your shocks a bit, much like any dps class may have to limit dps depending upon any number of variables.
2.3 Arena: Season 1 and 2 gloves wont have season 3 glove equip bonuses (Source)
Q: has anyone read if there's a plan to retroactively adjust the season 1 and season 2 gloves to have the same equip bonuses as season 3?
A: We have no plans to do this anytime soon, or even moderately later.
2.3: Human Sword & Mace Skill Racial (Source)
+Crit does little for a tank, where as weapon skill, or +hit, or even the new expertise would all be greatly superior. Please rethink this change.
The weapon skill bonuses didn't help every class before either, but with the removal of weapon skill bonuses the critical strike chance is a good replacement and we don't have plans to change it at this time.
2.3: No Free Respecs (Source)
We have no current plans to provide a free talent reset with patch 2.3. Keep in mind the PTRs should be available for awhile and we will continue to monitor and make changes if they are needed.
2.3: No plans to add new ways to obtain a Nether Vortex (Source)
Currently we have no plans to add new ways to obtain a Nether Vortex. With the new items available in patch 2.3 it should be easier for a guild to make progress in the dungeons that drop them though if you need them.
2.3: Explanations on Damage bonus from healing (Source)
Healing gear is currently identified by this description, " Increases healing done by spells and effects by up to x." In patch 2.3, the item text to identify plus to healing will be modified to read, "Increases healing done by up to x and damage done by up to y for all magical spells and effects".
y = bonus spell damage approximately equal to 1/3 of the item's healing bonus.
There are a few items and enchantments where we weren't able to make this change, such as random-stat items and Zul'Gurub enchantments. In any case, the spell damage gained in this fashion is designed to make solo/grinding easier but really won't provide competitive damage when compared to stacking spell damage equipment. enchantment, gems, etc...
2.3: NPC Wandering changes (Source)
The 2.3 patch is introducing new improved NPC pathing AI.
This new AI should prevent NPCs that "wander" around an area from moving through or on top of static objects such as trees or buildings.
As this change affects so many NPCs throughout the world we would like everyone to be on the lookout for problems. Please report any strange NPC movement behavior via the in-game feedback tool.
Be sure to have the affected NPC targeted when submitting the report so that we can quickly identify it.
2.3 Warrior: Why Deathwish got moved to Arms (Source)
Some warriors felt forced to pickup certain talents and this left them with few options. This change could allow people in these situations to have some extra options while the weapon expertise and threat reduction improvements to the deep end of the fury tree allow for more consistent sustained damage.
Future patch: Possible new content for Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms (Source)
We would like to revisit and implement new content for Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, but we have no estimate on updating all of the zones that people have talked about or if this will happen at all.
Future patch: LFG System Improvements (Source)
We have some improvements on tap, that we'd like to implement at some point in the not too distant future, if time permits of course. We're not quite ready to discuss them, unfortunately. In any case, we realize that the tool needs further design work before it's completely effective.
WotLK: Priest discpline tree will be adressed in Wotlk (Source)
Though some priests have found a use for the discipline tree, right now, it doesn't quite have a solid purpose/goal, but rather seems to act as a supporting tree. This is something we plan on addressing with Wrath of the Lich King. Originally, the goal of the tree was primarily intended to provide staying power, vs. the holy tree which provides throughput.
WotLK: The known Death Knights art and models are not final (Source)
The art and models that you have seen for Death Knights are likely not finalized as we have a ways to go before launching Wrath of the Lich King so they can definitely change.
Hallow’s End event: Headless Horseman
Hallow's End event is starting today and should last till November 1, so you will be able to face the Headless Horseman in the Scarlet Monastery’s Graveyard, but you will need a group of lvl 70 to down him.
