Jarmo Lehtinen co-driver mod for RBR by Porridge (v2.99.1205)

Installation instructions (short and sweet):

First, whatever you're about to do, ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES... Can't stress that enough.

For RSRBR you can obviously just copy and paste the files to corresponding folders in the Audio folder.

For the original unmodded game, you should have an utility DATtool by Kegetys, as you have to extract the
contents of Audio.dat by dragging the dat file to DATtool.exe. Then move the Lehtinen files (and overwrite the old
files when needed) to corresponding folders in:

[RBR]\Audio\C#\Projects\Rally_7\TargetMedia_Develop\Pc\Debug\World\Audio.

After you've done with the copying, then drag the Audio-folder (namely the game root folder's "Audio" to
DATtool.exe, and the utility will create you a brand new Audio.dat.

NOTE: While I may have named the folders so that french pacenotes would be replaced, you can indeed
replace any other language (except english) if you wish to do so. Of course, you can in theory replace english
also, but replacing english pacenotes has its own twists and I don't really want to write a novel here.



Almost the same in Finnish:

Ensinnäkin varmuuskopioi Audio-hakemistosi (RSRBR), tai vaihtoehtoisesti Audio.dat -tiedosto (alkuperäinen
modaamaton peli).

RSRBR: Copy-pasteta kansioiden sisällöt Audio-hakemiston vastaaviin, ja tarvittaessa harjoita overwritingia.

TAI

Alkuperäiseen modaamattomaan peliin tarvitset esimerkiksi Kegetyksen DATtool-softan. Raahaa pelihakemistossa oleva
Audio.dat DATtool.exen päälle. DATtool purkaa Audio.datin sisällön pelihakemiston uuteen kansioon nimeltä Audio.
Tämän jälkeen siirtele omaan tahtiin Lehtinen-filuja vastaaviin paikkoihin kansiossa:

[RBR]\Audio\C#\Projects\Rally_7\TargetMedia_Develop\Pc\Debug\World\Audio

Kun olet siirtänyt kaikki tarvittavat tiedostot (ja siis tarvittaessa korvannut vanhat), raahaa Audio-hakemisto
(luonnollisesti pelihakemiston juuressa oleva Audio-hakemisto) DATtool.exen päälle, jolloin ohjelma pakkaa sinulle
tuliterän Audio.datin.

HUOM. Mikäänhän ei estä sinua korvaamasta vaikkapa saksankielisiä nuotteja, vaikka defaultina olenkin nimennyt
kansiot korvaamaan nimenomaan ranskankieliset nuotit. Englanninkin paikalle voit toki asentaa, mutta sitä en viitsi
ohjeistaa. Siinä on omat vaiheensa, mutta jos tiedät mitä tehdä, niin siitä vain.

RECOMMENDED VOLUME MIX (just an example really, used in some sample audio files you may have heard):

Co-driver volume 100%
Engine 60%
Tyres 50%

I haven't used any compressors or limiters, and that's why overall sound pressure is relatively low. And always
will be 'cos I have no intentions to fix this "issue", all for good reasons. Ripping speech from videos isn't
exactly like recording pacenotes from scratch.

The files in Speech/Broken/Fre are actually blank files. It would naturally be nice to use some other ready
files to indicate engine failures etc., but there'd be always the risk of sudden heart attack knowing the sound
pressure of original Reid samples for instance.

* You can remove the unwanted ones by editing "the playlist" in CoOther.ini, no need to delete any sound files.
** "wideout" doesn't literally mean "aukee", but as Suominuotit used "aukee" for "wideout", you may be used to it.

* Voit poistaa yksittäisiä nuotteja systeemistäsi editoimalla notepadilla CoOther.ini -tiedostoa, itse
äänitiedostoja ei tarvitse poistaa.
** "Wideout" ei tietenkään kirjaimellisesti tarkoita mutkan "aukeemista", mutta jos olet ollut aiemmin esimerkiksi
Suominuottien käyttäjä, olet todennäköisimmin tottunut tällaiseen ratkaisuun...

This mod is released as a "single" before the whole "album" that will also consist of several other co-drivers.

IMPORTANT. The upcoming mods are obviously produced in similar fashion, and therefore it's only natural that I won't
tolerate any "unofficial" modifications released publicly. I hope everyone understands my point.
