[When will the game be released?]
The current known release date is: 03/26/2004.

[For which platforms will the game be released?]
It will be available for XBox, PS2 and PC.

[What will be the difference between the existing Rally games?]
If you total your car, the stage is over and you'll be airlifted to hospital. If you roll your car but it works, the crowd will right you. There's no magic re-spawn. The best comparison is to the first TOCA game: one mistake and it's over! So Richard Burns Rally is the first true rally simulation game, bringing the most realistic and exhilarating rally experience to all major gaming platforms. This true to life rallying requires tactics, intelligence and perseverance as well as speed, aggression and risk taking. Adding a new level of realism, the game will include:

* Unparalleled engine simulation modelled on genuine automotive information and individual car specs
* Truly authentic car handling
* Accurate car damage [from engine fires and fuel leaks to brake loss and bodywork damage]
* Interactive 'real-time' service park with component based repair system and helicopter rescues from un-salvageable accidents
* Realistic spectators [who cheer as you speed past, sometimes stray onto the track but will also help roll your car back if you venture off-road]
* Truly dynamic and random weather [effecting the track and the car]
* Unique three dimensional track generation system [incorporating: potholes, rocks, puddles and ruts, with realistic depth and effects on the track and the cars]
* AI opponents with varying personalities and styles [resulting in different race results and crashes]

[So will this game be too difficult to play for arcade players?]
No, because it's all about playability. If we couldn't introduce these elements without making them playable, there would have been no point in doing it. People who play rally games have got to experience it to see how different this game is from all the others. It will be a very technical game, but will also be very different, exciting and funny.

[Which cars will the game include?]
There will be a selection of cars to choose from including Peugeot 206, Citroen Xsara T4 and Subaru Impreza 2003.

[Which circuits will the game include?]
There will be over a number of official rally circuits which are all based on real events:

* The Ramada Express Hotel Casino International Rally - Grand Canyon, USA - Gravel
* Pirelli International Rally - Kielder Forest, England - Gravel
* Rallye Mont Blanc - Mont Blanc, France - Tarmac
* Arctic Lapland Rally - Arctic Circle, Finland - Snow/Ice
* Rally Hokkaido - Hokkaido, Japan - Gravel
* Subaru Rally of Canberra - Canberra, Australia - Gravel

[How will the singleplayer part of the game look like?]
Beginning at the Forest Experience Rally School in North Wales, Richard and co-driver Robert Reid will tutor each player in the tactics, preparation and skills required for rally driving as a kind of tutorial, before the player joins a team and embarks on his career as a rally driver.

[Will you actually be able to play as Richard Burns?]
No, you won't but he'll be a kind of mentor character because he starts off the game teaching you how to drive in the rally school - which is one of the unique features of the game. He teaches you how to handle a proper rally car, what the terms mean, and so on. If you don't know what Powerslides or Pendulum Swings are, he'll tell you.

[How will the multiplayer part of the game look like?]
There are additional game modes including a 4-player 'hot-seat' multiplayer gaming mode and a Richard Burns Challenge gaming mode, where players get the chance to go head to head with Richard Burns - you see his car on the stage and you get to drive against him.

[How will the online part of the game look like?]

* [XBox]
On the XBox there will be an online stage time capability so you'll be able to upload all your best stage times.
* [PS2]
On the PS2 there won't be something implemented like on the XBox that but there will be a system where you get given a code which represents your stage time and you'll be able to publish high scores that are verifiable and have competitions with your mates - they'll be able to see your stage times on the PlayStation website.
* [PC]
On the PC there won't be an online support.

[What is the best way to publish my suggestions for the game to make shure that it will be read?]
By now, the following threads habe been posted by developers for those issues:
[Suggestions for Statistics/Records]
"Feel free to post any suggestions you might have regarding the statistics in RBR. What would you like to see? Do you want to see how many kilometers you have driven with your car, the top 10 laprecords for each stage, the number of fatal accidents...What do you want to see statistics for?"

[Will there ever follow another title of Richard Burns Rally?]
On August 28, 2003, SCi announced that it has entered into an exclusive long-term agreement with Richard Burns. So there will definately follow other titles of the Richard Burns Rally Series.
