The english on the english forums isn't really that much better from the english we use here frown

They use a lot of slang which makes it impossible to read...

Doesn't make it impossible, just annoying. The best thing about some English forums are the "grammar police". Who take every chance they get to point out mistakes in someone's post.

Some English forums has absolutely terrible language. Some times I feel it's not English at all. This topic has quite fine language and that makes all those apologies little funny.

I've seen that French people have every time the same excuse for their bad English: "sorry, I'm French".

Confusing? How? It's as simple as they come. But not too simple with the leveling up and different character classes. Great game.

Anyway, this topic is just plain message hunting. Well, keep raping English. If you want to learn English, then I'd suggest reading English forums 'cause here you really wont learn the language proplerly.

Not true. . . With people like you around everyone can learn English here.
Maybe if people would talk about grammar in their posts, then there would probably be (a small 10%) chance for some to improve their skills. yarr.

+1 post.
If you just made fun of me,then I'd say, that that was pretty good reply.

I wouldn't recommend it. English you see on the English forums can be surprisingly far from "the real deal". Being an English-man isn't a quarantee that one writes/speaks perfect English compared to _our_ standards. It is also possible that the majority of forums you encounter out there are international forums where all sorts of people with different backgrounds and nationalities are hanging around. More of, the language that you're taught in schools and what they expect you to use is the "real" deal of English (as used in Southern Britannia) as written by language professors. I find that it is surprisingly the (middle-aged) Americans who more often write a language that is the closest to your "school English". Not the Britons themselves. Quite naturally they (the Americans) have their own terms and own ways of expressing certain things but the thing is the Britons like to use dialect(s) of their own and these dialects can be more or less simplified and stylished versions of English we know, being therefore basically more or less incorrect (again compared to our standards).
The Aussies and New-Zealanders are a subject of their own as their language seems to be some kind of a hybrid of the two mainstreams of English (as for Am. English and Br. English).

Anyway, English (one version or another) used by it's native speakers is naturally better than English written/spoken as a secondary/foreign language. In yet, my point remains the same. Reading English as written in "English" forums is not a quarantee of learning proper English. It's like trying to learn proper Finnish reading these forums. Isn't it quite obvious that you shouldn't rely on the grammar as used by people in this place? I thought so. What people seem to learn from English however is it's use of capitol letters and "lack" of word combos.
Either way, my point remains the same. Reading English/International forums shouldn't be seen as a quarantee of learning proper (as we know it) English and neither should be reading posts of the English speakers's in the case they're using a dialect.
On the other hand, what you learn for sure when reading native English speaker's English is the correct term dictionary/usage, more or less. Translating - as we say - "straightly" from Finnish to English only results in problems. English speakers don't most the time regognise terms like "river beach" or "echoer" like we would perhaps hope.
