I believe the point was just to talk English. I doubt it really matters what we talk about.

So, we have lots of snow here in Ivalo. We had over -20'C a few days ago, but it's not so cold anymore. It's fun to live in Lapland.

The most popular language of the World, Bad English. Well, I gotta say that I have quite different situation than ThaMastah. Finnish fits my mouth a lot better than English.

Our English teacher told us that the language one speaks, changes one's personality. For example, she said that she is totally different person when she speaks English, German or Finnish.

Anybody around here got the same feelings? I think I am a different person in Finnish than in English. In English, I talk much more nonsense and stuff that hasn't anything to do with my life.

By the way. Threre's no need for these "Sorry-'bout-my-bad-English"-tags. It doesn't matter wether you write perfect English or not, as long as the message is readable and others can understand it. If someone starts to bitch about your bad English, he/she has problems between his/her ears.

Thats it. When I talk finnish I makes sense. But when I talk english... Well...

Quote from my speech:
"Wow! That's soo cool! Lets go now! Haha! So cool, lets do it! Hahhahaha!"

But it is so fun biggrin

By the way, swedish topic wouldn't be so cool. Everyone will just say: "Jag heter kimmo. Jag är svenska pojke ;D" or something like that. But if it will not get locked, there would soon be around 10 different topics with italic, russian, nigerian and such...

Someone asked why english topic. You don't undestand? Its so fun!

No doubt 'bout that, when i speak English I swear, a lot.

For TerraX's comment I say no doubt 'bout that too. But it is true, that all the ppl in world dont speak finnish.

I guess this is the second topic in english then. No problem with that.

There isn't just much to talk, that's the real problem. Maybe we should discuss about some (maybe global) topic of great importance. That would be very nice wouldn't it?

Yay, thats it, but as I already said there isn't much to say, not without a main topic. So, how about creating one?

And yes, there was a rush of threads when Mikko created the first english thread. Went a bit off the scale really, not my concern though.

Your teacher's skills are restricted in German and English (or atleast it doesn't come as naturally as Finnish) so she can't say the same things she would necessarily say in Finnish.

Hello, my name is Tim and I'm a criminal. In the eyes of society I need to be in jail for the choice of herbs I inhale. This ain't no wholesale operation, just a few eighths and some PlayStation's my vocation. I pose a threat to the nation. And down the station the police hold no patience. Let's talk space and time. I like to get deep sometimes and think about Einstein, and Carl Jung. And old kung fu movies I like to see. Pass the hydrator please, yeah, I'm floating on thin air, going to Amsterdam in the New Year, top gear there. 'Cause I take pride in my hobby. Home-made bongs using my engineering degree. Well shiver me timbers. Another topic about the same thing?

Someone here said that this forum seems dull because of the same topics come up every now and then. He couldn't have been more right.

This topic, very much like the last one, doesn't have a purpose. At all. That's what will confuse some of our so hard-working moderators even so much, that some of them will overheat and put a dot to this brave little topic that tries to improve ones engrish.

Would someone, just like in the last topic, like to make up a reasonable topic for us to speak in english? Something about rocket science would be nice. Although it could be a little too easy topic for some of you, this topic would be great to improve ones vocabulary too instead of just reminding of the basic grammar rules.
